About The Position

Under the leadership of the Central Sterile Processing Supervisor, demonstrates competency in identification, decontamination, processing, and sterilization of surgical instruments including endoscopy scopes. Has a thorough understanding of processing and sterilization of surgical instruments and endoscopy scopes. Has a thorough understanding of processing equipment, including but not limited to, sterilizers, washer decontaminators, medivators, and ultra sonic cleaners following a detailed orientation.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent.
• Conscientious regard for technical and minute procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer literacy.

Nice To Haves

• Certification as Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) and/or Certification in Endoscope Reprocessing (CER).
• Previous experience in sterile processing.
• Previous experience processing endoscopy scopes.

Responsibilities

• Identification, decontamination, processing, and sterilization of surgical instruments including endoscopy scopes.
• Operation of processing equipment, including sterilizers, washer decontaminators, medivators, and ultra sonic cleaners.
