About The Position

The Central Sterile Processing Supervisor, Exempt role at Trios Health is responsible for coordinating and supervising daily staffing, providing direction and training to staff, assessing quality of services, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. This position also involves performing staff responsibilities as needed, resolving complex issues, managing staff scheduling, and handling sensitive information while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations like HIPAA. The supervisor leads the work of others and may set priorities and schedule work, but does not have hiring, termination, or performance review responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Previous Central Sterile Processing leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
  • Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
  • Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs.
  • Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
  • Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
  • In charge of staff scheduling and timecard approvals.
  • Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Skilled in the application of policies and procedures.
  • Lead the work of others who perform essentially the same work.
  • May set priorities, schedule and review work, but have no responsibility to hire, terminate, review performance and/or make pay decisions.
