About The Position

The Central Station Operator monitors incoming alarm signals at O’Reilly Automotive’s proprietary central station, verifies alarm validity, notifies appropriate authorities or key personnel, and documents responses in alarm-monitoring software. The operator also supports overnight route drivers and Risk Management, works with field technicians and installers to verify alarm signals, makes alarm-panel code changes as needed, and assists store and distribution center personnel with arming and disarming alarm systems. The role requires professional, courteous, calm interactions and the protection of confidential information. The schedule is overnight, 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM, with mandatory weekend work and consecutive days off during the week.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail.
Reliable work ethic.
Must pass a drug screening.

Nice To Haves

2–3 years of previous office experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor and process incoming alarm signals.
Provide non-peak-hour support to route drivers and Risk Management.
Work with field technicians and installers to verify alarm signals.
Notify appropriate authorities and/or key personnel based on the type of alarm signal.
Perform alarm-panel code changes for store locations as needed.
Document alarm responses in the alarm-monitoring software.
Interact with store and distribution center personnel to support arming and disarming alarm systems.
Maintain a professional, courteous, and calm attitude when working with store personnel and other employees.
Maintain the confidentiality of privileged information.
