About The Position

Watershed Geo is looking for a highly motivated and skilled civil engineer to join our team as a Regional Director (Civil). The Regional Director (Civil) plays a key role in our civil infrastructure group. They are responsible for promoting the value of HydroTurf and serving as a technical expert to our multiple and diverse customers and stakeholders including owners, engineers, contractors and other relevant influencers to ensure the viability of our project pipeline and sales. The Regional Director (Civil) works in a team selling environment. This position is part of the Sales Organization and reports directly to the Vice President, Civil Market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in civil engineering or related field, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proven track record in business development or sales, with experience in the construction or engineering industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of HydroTurf or other similar technologies is preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 50% travel).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HydroTurf or other similar technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the regional strategic initiatives and market development plan for the promotion of HydroTurf to engineers, owners, and other target audiences.
  • Collaborate with the Watershed Geo regional sales team members in a team selling environment to ensure alignment with the regional strategic initiatives and market development plan.
  • Collaboration on the technical sales process with Watershed Geo functional units includes sales, marketing, R&D, engineering, and field operations. This will include, but not be limited to, the following: Inside Sales and Growth Teams – manage and support the strategic direction with respect to databases, focused targets, market research, and SalesLoft cadences. Execution Sales Team – manage and support the strategic direction of the execution team with respect to HydroTurf and assist the team with proposal preparation, training, presentations, regulatory approvals, important influencers, etc. Marketing – provide input and support to marketing with respect to regional exhibits / tradeshows and related materials including brochures, sample kits, white papers, videos, pictures, project spotlights etc. R&D – provide suggestions on product development, improvements, and new technologies. Engineering – provide support to engineering for product testing, design details, specifications, design support, guidance documents, technical literature, etc. Field Operations – provide support to field operations to ensure successful installations.
  • Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders throughout the project sales cycle in assigned region
  • Identify and engage potential customers through industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers during the sales process.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and project opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor and report on market developments and competitor activity.
