About The Position

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Medical Center. The employee shall support Orange Coast Medical Center’s strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities. The Central Processing Technician II is primarily responsible for providing support to the Operating Room through knowledge of surgical supplies and materials. The Central Processing Technician is responsible for the daily case supply picking. This position is accountable for the support of the effective PAR level maintenance.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience as a Central Processing Technician in Surgical Services required.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and OR/SPD supplies.
  • CRCST or CBSPD Certification required

  • Practices within the perioperative code of conduct.
  • Participates and supports in the perioperative lean philosophy and projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
