About The Position

As a Central Processing Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping our operating rooms and hospital floors running smoothly! This role involves mastering the art of cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments, handling the assembly, processing, and distribution of medical instruments with attention to detail, and playing a crucial role in patient safety by maintaining the highest sterilization standards. You will also be responsible for organizing and storing instruments efficiently, collaborating with operating room staff and other departments, and performing quality control to ensure standards are met. The position requires adapting to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and implementing new initiatives. This is a chance to shine if you are patient, detail-oriented, love hands-on work, and can take direction well. There are opportunities to advance your career to Tech II or III.

Experience working alone when sterilizing instruments in the Central Processing Department (CPD)
Experience working with Surgical Technicians to ensure instruments are set properly for upcoming operations
