Central Processing Lead
About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring a Central Processing Lead in Cleveland, Ohio. The role leads day-to-day central processing activities and directs a team preparing products for stores. The Lead ensures products are accurately sorted and tagged to meet store requirements, assignments and production goals are completed, and workflow remains smooth and efficient throughout the shift. The position also involves quality checks, production tracking, team training and feedback, maintaining a clean processing area, and safely operating material-handling equipment. The role is hourly and full-time, with pay listed as $16.30. A background check is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good people skills.
- Knowledge of merchandise such as name brands, antiques, vintage items, and collectibles.
- Ability to identify different shades and tones of color.
- Tow motor certification through Goodwill.
- Ability to safely operate related material-handling equipment.
- Background check required.

- Computer experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure assignments are completed on time and goals set by the Director of Store Planning and Optimization are met.
- Tag and sort products into black containers and move them to the designated location.
- Check products for damage as part of quality assurance.
- Maintain accurate production counts and meet goals for each project or assignment.
- Keep current with brand names, maker's marks, vintage items, and price points.
- Provide the supervisor with daily updates on operations, staffing, and issues requiring attention.
- Train new team members and work with the supervisor to provide formal feedback to the team.
- Maintain a smooth, efficient workflow for staff throughout the shift.
- Keep the processing area neat and clean.
- Operate tow motors and other material-handling equipment safely.
- Follow all safety policies.
