Requirements
- Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of hospital, federal, and state patient safety, infection control regulations and guidelines.
- 1-2 years recent phlebotomy experience required.
- HS Diploma/GED Required.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
- Must have transportation to report to our off site patient service center to draw bloods.
Responsibilities
- Clerical duties to include answering phones, filing and the mailing and faxing of patient reports.
- Preparing specimens to be sent out for reference lab testing.
- Outpatient and new employee blood drawing.
- Handling, labeling and processing of all specimens.
