About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the central kitchen, including food preparation, serving, sanitation, and inventory management. The specialist will ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to providing quality food services.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license that allows legal operation of a motor vehicle in Nevada.
  • Current driving history (dated within six months) issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Valid SNHD Food Handler Safety Training Card.
  • District-issued Material Handling Equipment certification (must be obtained within five months of hire if not possessed at time of application).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and menus.
  • Serve food to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, and serving areas.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and rotating food supplies.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Complete required documentation, such as production logs and inventory records.
  • Participate in training and professional development activities.
