About The Position

The Inventory Technician at the Central Fulfillment Center is responsible for working at the direction of the Group Supervisor and Central Fill Inventory Specialist with the appropriate procurement of pharmaceuticals, production supplies, and all other supply needs of the site. This includes receiving and reconciling orders, handling aging stock, minimizing out-of-stock, and helping to achieve the Inventory Team and the greater CF Team Goals. The position will be based in Irving, TX. The shift arrangement is a morning to mid-day shift arrangement working Monday-Friday with occasional Sunday project work.

Requirements

  • Pharmacy Technician License in Texas.
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information.

Nice To Haves

  • A national Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Previous pharmacy inventory management experience in high-volume retail setting
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience within a retail setting.
  • Central Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician experience.
  • Prefers to work in a closed-door environment (no adjudication, customer interaction, phone work).
  • Previous supply chain or inventory control experience.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Place inventory orders with pharmaceutical wholesalers, 3rd Party suppliers, and follow up on shipments and deliveries, if requested.
  • Receive, reconcile, and document all such shipments, communicating with the vendor as needed, as well as inter-store transfers.
  • Maintains accurate inventory counts; maintains the accuracy of on-hand quantities including, but not limited to, pharmaceuticals, production line supplies, office supplies, etc.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new processes for improving efficiency and reducing costs within the supply chain function.
  • Participate in periodic Inventory Audit preparations.
  • Manages storage areas for cleanliness and order, ensuring that the stock is prepared for the next day, while considering ergonomics and efficiency.
  • Responsible for rotating stock and monitoring/managing aging products, including DSCSA. Manages out of stock issues to minimize production delays, while minimizing costs to carry.
  • Assists with appropriate reverse distribution, expired product handling, recalls and returns.
  • Assists in cross-training identified production personnel to help with inventory receiving and other inventory-specific projects.
