About The Position
Thermal Tech, Inc., an employee-owned company, is looking for a Central Engineer to join their Orlando team. In this role, the engineer will combine technical expertise, estimating, and project management to develop solutions for commercial and industrial boiler/HVAC projects. The engineer will work closely with customers, engineers, contractors, sales, and service teams to ensure projects are quoted accurately and executed successfully.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of Boiler/HVAC, construction, estimating, or related experience.
- Working knowledge of mechanical piping systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, math, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- College degree or 10 years of experience in a similar position.
Nice To Haves
- Project management experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop accurate and profitable quotes for new equipment and aftermarket projects.
- Review project layouts and specifications to determine proper equipment selection.
- Prepare detailed customer proposals, scopes of work, and submittal packages.
- Manage multiple projects, schedules, and priorities from quote through installation.
- Coordinate with customers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot technical and field issues as they arise.
- Support our Service team with technical questions and solutions.
- Visit jobsites as needed.
