As a Central Distribution Associate, you will play an important role in keeping the hospital running smoothly by planning, organizing, and controlling the movement of materials throughout the hospital. You will answer and direct calls, complete computer input of phone requests and requisitions as directed by the supervisor, and accurately fill supply and equipment requests. You will ensure supplies and equipment are delivered promptly according to assigned schedules and help keep essential materials moving where they are needed most. You will also pick up and deliver mail to the Mail Room and Medical Records and Health Information Services, contributing to the efficient flow of information throughout the hospital.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds.
• Must be able to manipulate carts in high traffic areas including elevators.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

• One year of experience working with patient care supplies and equipment

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct calls
• Complete computer input of phone requests and requisitions as directed by the supervisor
• Accurately fill supply and equipment requests
• Ensure supplies and equipment are delivered promptly according to assigned schedules
• Pick up and deliver mail to the Mail Room and Medical Records and Health Information Services
• Assist patient care staff with identification of supply needs
• Maintain scheduled orders and deliveries on time
• Complete data entry and retrieval of information within computer system
