This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day plasma center operations and staff to ensure efficient plasma collections. The role involves supervising daily activities in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), providing clear instructions, conducting meetings, and communicating performance expectations. The supervisor may perform tasks in work areas, advise management on employee relations or escalated donor issues, and facilitate donor movement to minimize wait times. Ensuring adequate staffing, monitoring time cards, attendance, and overtime utilization are key responsibilities. The role also includes conducting error investigations, developing process improvements, participating in performance appraisals, documenting corrective actions, and assisting with employee training files and evaluations. There may be involvement in recruitment, adherence to company policies, development of marketing initiatives for donor retention, accurate recording of donor data, and understanding hyper-immune programs. Maintaining a clean and efficient work environment, ensuring sufficient supplies, and complying with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies are crucial. Promoting safety, maintaining confidentiality of information, and being cross-trained in technical areas are also part of the role. Bilingual skills may be required, and other job-related duties may be assigned.
