Responsible for all aspects of the donor center in the absence of the Assistant Manager and/or Director of Center Operations. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, and company-specific rules, regulations, and practices related to the quality and safety of products, donors, and employees. Provides clear instructions, conducts meetings, and communicates performance expectations. Participates with management in conducting performance appraisals, providing performance feedback. With management review, documents verbal and written coaching level corrective actions as needed. Assists in maintaining up-to-date employee training files, checklists, and assists with performance evaluations and certification status. Develops and implements active donor recruitment advertising campaigns to improve production levels. Manages and develops talent within the donor center. Participates in the selection process of new staff for the donor center. Works collaboratively with staff, peers, and management to achieve business goals. Communicates continuously and resolves conflicts proactively. Learns and maintains thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, Standard Operating Procedure Manual, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and internal Company Procedures. Maintains a thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies, and regulated procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future. Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with donors, fellow employees, and vendors. Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings. Maintains confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information. Actively participates in root cause analysis, deviation management, and process improvement. Performs donor counseling and reports to local and state agencies as applicable. Initiates and assists in donor investigations regarding Post Donation Information. Assists with the annual re-certification process for non-trainers. Will be cross-trained in all technical areas and other functions to meet the needs of the business. Other duties as assigned.
