About The Position
This position is for a Center Store Clerk, responsible for providing friendly and courteous service to customers. Key duties include stocking, straightening, and rotating products in various departments such as Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery. The role also involves processing incoming products from the warehouse and direct store delivery vendors, reading shelf tags, and sorting damaged products for credit. The clerk will operate equipment like a hand jack, power lift, and cardboard baler, adhering to company safety guidelines. Maintaining cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler, and freezer is also required, along with meeting company productivity standards. Other duties may be assigned by store management.
Requirements
- 18yrs+ to apply
- Able to stock 50 cases per hour
- Able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees)
- Able to push loaded two wheeler (average 100-120 pounds)
- Able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 pounds)
- Able to pull loaded stock truck
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Working on feet entire shift (4-8hours)
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline) (for internal candidates)
- Must have manager approval based on performance (for internal candidates, if invited for an interview)
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks (for Store/Facility Teammates)
- Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks (for Store Support Center Teammates)
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
- Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
- Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods., and Grocery Departments
- Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors
- Read and understand shelf tags
- Sort damaged product for credit
- Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler
- Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
- Maintain company productivity standards
- Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management
