About The Position

This role is responsible for performing statistical and geospatial analysis, developing data visualizations and reports, managing data processes, and contributing to documentation and knowledge management within Engineering Operations. The analyst will apply statistical methods and utilize GIS and telematics tools to analyze business and operational data, develop prescriptive models, and present findings through clear data storytelling. A key part of the role involves using Power BI, Python, and GIS platforms to build and maintain analytical dashboards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure insights drive measurable business impact. The position also requires working with SQL and Python for data preparation, partnering with IT for data pipeline optimization, and identifying process improvements. Additionally, the analyst will document methodologies, promote data literacy, and stay current with emerging techniques in data analysis and visualization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Administration (with a technology focus), or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in BI development or data analysis
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis (Python, R, or equivalent).
  • Experience with geospatial analysis tools (ArcGIS Suite, or similar).
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Ability to integrate spatial data with BI platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Apply statistical methods (regression, forecasting, hypothesis testing, clustering) to analyze business and operational data.
  • Conduct geospatial analyses using GIS and tele-matics tools to support optimization, site/plant analysis, and logistics planning.
  • Develop prescriptive models to inform strategic initiatives.
  • Present findings through clear data storytelling and visualization that blends quantitative insights with operational context.
  • Use Power BI, Python, and GIS platforms to communicate insights in accessible formats.

  • Support adherence to data governance standards by promoting best practices for data integrity and compliance within analytics work.
