About The Position
Grifols is hiring a fluent English- and Spanish-speaking Center Medical Specialist for a plasma donation center in Stonecrest, Georgia. The role is suited to a currently licensed or certified RN, LPN/LVN, paramedic, or EMT. The salary is based on licensure and experience. The posting offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus, a target bonus, and benefits.
Requirements
- Be educated and currently certified or licensed in the state of employment, according to state requirements, as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT (EMT-Basic or EMT-Advanced).
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Fluent English and Spanish speaking ability.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and establish medical histories to determine donor suitability.
- Build rapport with donors to support customer satisfaction.
- Protect donor and staff confidentiality.
- Ensure donors are aware of potential hazards.
- Educate donors about general health and counsel them regarding unacceptable test results.
- Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
- Evaluate donor illness histories and medications to ensure continued suitability.
- Assist with employee training.
- Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.
