About The Position
Grifols is seeking an English/Spanish bilingual EMT, paramedic, LPN, or LVN for a plasma donation center. The Center Medical Specialist performs donor suitability assessments, supports donor safety and education, evaluates and manages injuries and adverse events, assists with employee training, and administers the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program. Salary is based on licensure and experience. The position is located at a plasma center in Statesboro, Georgia.
Requirements
- Be educated and currently certified or licensed in the state of employment, according to state requirements, as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- English/Spanish bilingual ability is sought.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and establish medical histories to determine donor suitability.
- Build rapport with donors to support overall customer satisfaction.
- Ensure donor and staff confidentiality.
- Inform donors of potential hazards.
- Provide donor education about general health and counsel donors regarding unacceptable test results.
- Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
- Evaluate histories of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability.
- Assist in employee training.
- Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.
