About The Position
Grifols is seeking an EMT, Paramedic, or Licensed Practical Nurse for a plasma donation center. The Center Medical Specialist evaluates donor suitability, supports donor safety and education, manages donor injuries and adverse events, and assists with employee training and health programs. The role is based at the Macon, Georgia, plasma donation center. Requirements
- Be educated and currently certified or licensed in the state of employment, in accordance with state requirements, as an Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Hold current CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and establish medical histories to determine donor suitability.
- Build rapport with donors to support overall customer satisfaction.
- Maintain donor and staff confidentiality.
- Ensure donors are aware of potential hazards.
- Provide donor education about general health and counsel donors regarding unacceptable test results.
- Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
- Evaluate histories of illness or medication use to ensure continued donor suitability.
- Assist with employee training.
- Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.
