About The Position

The Center Manager is accountable for delivering high-quality, efficient, and effective services to patients and families at an outpatient imaging center. This is a working technologist role that includes performing imaging scans as well as managing center operations. The manager supervises daily activities, patient flow, operations, clinical procedures, and staff performance; creates a positive, collaborative work environment; and participates in short- and long-range planning and business development.

Requirements

Graduate of a 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology.
Work experience in an advanced imaging modality such as MRI or CT.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
BLS certification.
Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically, and identify trends.
Ability to provide open, honest feedback to improve decision-making.
Ability to influence across the organization and work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships that produce results.
Ability to effectively supervise exempt and non-exempt staff.
Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change.

Nice To Haves

Advanced ARRT certification in CT or MRI.
Two to three years of previous people management experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct radiology imaging scans within the registered modality.
Ensure smooth daily operations by resolving performance issues and appropriately scheduling center staff.
Serve as the escalation point for concerns and challenges from patients and referring physicians.
Perform clinical exams during staffing shortages as licenses allow.
Develop and foster relationships with referring physicians.
Develop, review, and implement action plans based on financial reporting to improve center performance.
Attend training to stay current on best practices and protocols.
Implement and manage training and onboarding for new associates.
Participate in staff planning and hiring for new associates.
Lead regular team and department meetings and employee one-on-ones.
Monitor and approve timecards daily or weekly.
Lead, initiate, and participate in annual performance evaluations and associate development and performance management.
Establish associate schedules that accommodate planned time off while ensuring appropriate staffing and coverage.
Evaluate, implement, and manage department workflow and process improvements.
Ensure department staff understand company and department policies and that corresponding procedures are in place.
Support employees in delivering the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Develop methods to measure and monitor team and department performance.
