About The Position

Supports the movement and growth opportunities for inbound and outbound cargo for freight forwarding customers. Ensures that freight is processed in compliance with governmental regulations (e.g., Federal Aviation Administration, Transportation Security Administration, etc.). Collaborates with vendors, customers, commercial airline carriers, ocean freightliners, and other internal support groups for the movement of international and domestic air and ocean shipments. Provides specific functional expertise that is theoretical and conceptual in nature. This expertise is typically acquired through a combination of university education and experience within a field. May have responsibility for supervising others in the capacity of a “player coach” but primary focus is individual expertise. Applies conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. Performs a mix of routine and novel work assignments. Analyzes multiple data sources, both qualitative and quantitative, to understand problems related to own job discipline. Solves complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions. Impacts the team’s productivity and quality. Builds consensus among members of the team or related teams regarding technical issues related to own job discipline. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage drivers, equipment repairs and working relationship with vendors.
  • Strong Analytical and Organization Skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and produce accurate reports
  • Proficiency in MS office applications
  • Must have hazmat and cold chain certification.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
