About The Position

A nationally accredited, 5-star preschool in Wilmington is seeking a motivated School Director. The Director oversees preschool operations, including human resources, quality assurance, and facility operations, manages the budget, and ensures compliance with state childcare licensing regulations and licensing and quality assurance standards. The role includes developing positive relationships with families, managing and developing staff, and maintaining an upbeat attitude in a fast-paced environment. The Director may also need to act as a teacher, hire or dismiss staff, and make scheduling decisions.

Requirements

Hold or be eligible for an Early Childhood Director certificate from the State of Delaware.
Understand Delaware Early Learning Foundations.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Be a team player.
Demonstrate a commitment to professional development.
Have prior managerial experience in early childhood education.
Have strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Have strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
Have a deep love for children and a strong commitment to education.

Nice To Haves

A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Elementary Education.
At least 2 years of experience as a director in a preschool setting.
DE Administrator Specialized Training.
DE Infant Specialized Training.
DE Toddler Specialized Training.
