Center Director
About The Position
Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking a Center Director to join our New Market West team. In this role, you will lead a team at a STAR 4 Early Childhood Education Center located in West Philadelphia. You will lead the day-to-day operations of a STAR 4 center with PHLpreK and PreK Counts programs along with a mixed age Toddler Classroom. Oversee the quality of our programs, making learning an exciting adventure. Achieve enrollment goals by building strong relationships with families. Bring creative ideas to life in our classrooms. Ensure our center remains secure and welcoming for all. Build and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies. Lead and support a fantastic group of educators. Maintain all regulatory and licensing standards to keep us shining bright.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or Elementary Education
- PA Director’s Credential, required
- At least 2 years related center management experience of mid-size Early Childhood programs
- Outstanding relationship builder within community
- Demonstrated ability to manage the successful day to day operations of a high-quality center
- Knowledge and understanding of Keystone STARS
- Must meet all DHS requirements, including current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI, NSOR) and a Health Assessment with TB test.

- Experience successfully partnering with multiple agencies, preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Creative Curriculum & PATHS, preferred
