The Center Director is responsible for the planning and management of center operations in compliance with government and corporate directives. This role involves overall planning, staffing organization, and direction of center operations, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure efficient functioning and contract compliance. The Director also establishes center plans, programs, goals, and objectives, and directs programmatic efforts to ensure business growth. They make decisions on contract, budget, organization, program, and administrative matters in accordance with guidelines, and maintain communication with the student body. Additionally, the Center Director establishes and maintains contact with government, Workforce Investment Board (WIB), community, civic, and news media officials to promote the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). They control center reports, policies, procedures, staff travel, student terminations, and other administrative functions. The Director approves personnel actions, evaluates staff performance, provides training, and implements organizational and personnel actions. They also become a member of local WIBs, work closely with Outreach, Admissions, and Career Transition Services (OA/CTS) staff, and collaborate with the Workforce Council and Community Relations Council. The role requires clear communication and modeling of appropriate employability skills, oversight of other senior management, and maintaining accountability for staff, students, and property while adhering to safety practices. Coordination with subcontracted staff is also essential for smooth center operations. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
