About The Position

Early Years Community Learning Centers is a family-owned and operated educational childcare provider with five locations, focused on each child’s individual needs and gifts. The Center Director at the Gibsonia location oversees the quality of education and care, curriculum implementation, child assessments, staff, facility operations, regulatory compliance, and the center’s financial affairs. The Director works with parents, staff, outside agencies, and services to support children’s physical, cognitive, and social needs and encourage a love of learning.

Requirements

At least 3 years of child care experience.
At least 2 years of management experience.
Familiarity with PA Keystone Stars.
Valid FBI, Child Abuse, and Pennsylvania State Police clearances.
Ability to obtain a health assessment and TB test.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s or associate degree in Early Education or a related field.
Director Credential.

Responsibilities

Oversee the quality of education and care provided to each child.
Ensure the curriculum is implemented.
Conduct assessments and set goals to determine each child’s needs.
Maintain positive working relationships with parents to meet children’s physical, cognitive, and social needs.
Set the tone for the facility, oversee its physical facilities, and maintain an environment that promotes children’s healthy self-image.
Work with and supervise staff members, outside agencies, and services.
Encourage each child to reach their potential and develop a love of learning.
Assist with interviewing staff.
Manage the image of the center.
Ensure compliance with DHS and STARS regulations.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and local and federal child care laws.
Manage the center’s financial affairs.
