About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and organized Center Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children in a childcare setting. This full-time position involves preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks, as well as prepping dinner for later service. The cook will be responsible for adhering to Utah health guidelines, childcare licensing regulations, and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines. Key duties also include maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, managing food deliveries and storage, completing weekly pickup orders, and documenting meals and inventory.

Requirements

• Food Handler’s Permit and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong organization and time management skills

• Experience in cooking for groups preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks
• Prep dinner for later service
• Follow Utah health guidelines and childcare licensing regulations
• Follow Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines and regulations
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen
• Receive deliveries, rotate and store food properly
• Complete weekly pickup orders (Friday mornings)
• Document meals served and manage inventory
