About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Cement Mason for North of Las Vegas, NV. Reporting to a Cement Mason Journeyman, the incumbent works with concrete by placing, finishing, protecting and repairing concrete in engineering, construction and renovation projects. Position is represented by a Union Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • OSHA-10 card, Construction Industry
  • CPR/First-Aid card
  • ACI Certification-Flatwork finishes
  • No rehires, unless approved by local HR/LR.
  • MUST be able to meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government Top Secret security clearance and access to the work location.
  • Must pass pre-hire drug screening and Fit-for-Duty physical.
  • Must be able to work in a remote location with limited medical personnel and facilities.
  • Will need to bring: Social Security Card, original state issued birth certificate or Naturalization Certificate, a valid driver’s license, and certifications listed in Minimum Requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Place, level, and finish concrete by using power screed machine or by Rodding with straight edge.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools such as bull floats, hand floats, hand trowels, etc.
  • Run gas-powered trowel machine, grinder, bushing machine, etc.
  • Familiar with placing/finishing on-grade concrete via slip-form paver.
  • Spray curing and confirm compounds.
  • Concrete spall and crack repair; removing and replacing with rapid-set concrete.
  • Making concrete joint repairs, crack chasing, and epoxy entrainment.
  • Grouting by hand or pump.
  • Wear a respirator when handling epoxy or cementitious materials.
  • Comply with all safety practices and environmental regulations.
  • Computer skills to include computer-based time keeping programs and MS Office products.
  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
