About The Position

FNF Construction, Inc., a general contractor providing heavy civil construction services throughout the Southwestern United States, is seeking a journeyman-level Cement Mason/Concrete Finisher for highway, bridge, and structural construction projects. The role involves placing, finishing, and curing concrete, as well as assisting structures carpenters with formwork and concrete pours. The work is physically demanding and may take place in various weather conditions, around live traffic and active heavy machinery. Candidates must be able to lift 60 pounds and climb and balance on ladders and scaffolding. Compensation is $22–$34 per hour, based on experience. The position may be subject to pre-employment screening, including a background check and drug testing.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cement Mason or Concrete Finisher in highway/bridge construction.
• Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, and curing processes.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and perform tasks requiring strength, balance, and endurance.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds.
• Ability to climb and balance on ladders and scaffolding.

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete placement, finishing, and curing for highway, bridge, and structural projects.
• Assist structures carpenters with building, setting, aligning, and stripping formwork.
• Prepare work areas by leveling, compacting, and setting grades.
• Operate hand and power finishing tools, including trowels, floats, screeds, and power trowels.
• Monitor concrete placement to ensure proper consolidation, surface quality, and compliance with project specifications.
• Apply finishing techniques such as edging, jointing, brooming, and troweling.
• Place and finish concrete in various weather conditions while maintaining quality standards.
