About The Position

FNF Construction, Inc., a general contractor providing heavy civil construction services throughout the Southwestern United States, is seeking a journeyman-level Cement Mason/Concrete Finisher. The position performs concrete placement and finishing for highway, bridge, and structural projects and assists structures carpenters with formwork and concrete pours. Work may involve live traffic, active heavy machinery, ladders, and scaffolding, and requires lifting up to 60 pounds. Compensation is $22–$34 per hour, based on experience. The position may be subject to pre-employment screening, including a background check and drug testing.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cement Mason or Concrete Finisher in highway/bridge construction.
• Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, and curing processes.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and perform tasks requiring strength, balance, and endurance.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and climb and balance on ladders and scaffolding.
• Ability to work around live traffic and active heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete placement, finishing, and curing for highway, bridge, and structural projects.
• Assist structures carpenters with building, setting, aligning, and stripping formwork.
• Prepare work areas by leveling, compacting, and setting grades.
• Operate hand and power finishing tools, including trowels, floats, screeds, and power trowels.
• Monitor concrete during placement to ensure proper consolidation, surface quality, and adherence to project specifications.
• Apply finishing techniques such as edging, jointing, brooming, and troweling.
• Place and finish concrete in various weather conditions while maintaining quality standards.
