Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology/Science or Biology - Required
- 1 year Chemistry or Life Science - Required
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
Nice To Haves
- 1 year Blood Bank - Preferred
- 1 year Hematology - Preferred
- Medical Technology/Science - Preferred
- Medical Technologist (MT) - American Medical Technologists (AMT) - Preferred
- Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) - Preferred
Responsibilities
- Process cellular therapy products and patient samples in accordance with established SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Perform laboratory procedures with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards.
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment used in product processing and testing.
- Perform required quality control (QC), instrument verifications, maintenance, and routine performance checks.
- Accurately document all processing activities, test results, maintenance, and QC records using Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Maintain chain of identity and chain of custody for cellular therapy products and related samples.
- Identify supply needs and communicate inventory concerns to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
- Adhere to laboratory safety procedures, infection control practices, and hazardous material handling requirements.
- Participate in competency assessments and continuing education.
