About The Position

Performs a variety of duties to ensure the proper installation, testing, maintenance, and operation of cell equipment. This role involves hands-on work with cellular infrastructure, including installation, repair, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum 1-year experience in electricity or electronics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced knowledge and/or experience in electricity or electronics.
• Good math skills at a moderate level of advancement.
• Basic computer/laptop skills.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Basic technical proficiency and/or experience specific to wireless communications or related industry.
• Knowledge of industry terminology and general operating procedures relative to ones own job.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation and regular maintenance of cell equipment.
• Performs routine repair on cellular equipment when down-time exists.
• Performs preventive maintenance (such as checking power levels and frequency of the transmitters) to prevent down time.
• Assist in the installation of new cell sites.
• Handles moving and relocating of transmitters.
• Commissions new transmitters and receivers.
• Properly responds to trouble reports to identify problems, and perform repairs and testing of equipment.
• Must maintain schedule and attendance as required.
