About The Position
Apple’s Cellular Software team is seeking a highly motivated and disciplined engineer to collaborate on cellular technologies. The role focuses on identifying and optimizing cellular power and thermal performance for Apple wireless products, including iPhone, iPad, and Watch. The team works across Cellular Protocol software, including SIM, NAS, AS, and iOS interfaces, to develop solutions that improve connectivity and user experience. The engineer will contribute to power and thermal optimization, debugging, and enabling critical power features. They will help achieve power and thermal objectives for Apple cellular projects and work effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
- 0–2 years of experience in software engineering skills, including design, programming in C or C++, scripting, and debugging.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving environment with shifting priorities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience troubleshooting software and hardware power-management flows.
- Strong interest in modem power-management systems, software architecture, and power flows.
- Python scripting experience is preferred; Perl is also mentioned.
