About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional string instructor to teach part-time in person at Music Education Centers of America (MECA) in South Elgin, Illinois. The instructor will teach cello, violin, and viola. Teachers can set their availability within the school's open hours; consistency is valued, and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Teaching in English and Spanish is a plus. Pay is commensurate with experience and ranges from $20 to $30 per hour. MECA offers lessons in piano, voice, guitar, bass, drums/percussion, brass, woodwinds, and strings, as well as group classes for all ages. The school focuses on providing a comfortable and affordable environment where students of any age or experience can learn music, with high-quality instruction and services and products that support different learning needs. Requirements

Strong music background, demonstrated by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience.
Demonstrated love of teaching.
