About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking an experienced, professional drum teacher to provide in-person instruction part-time at Music Education Centers of America (MECA) in South Elgin, Illinois. Candidates must be available to work on Mondays. Teachers may set their availability within the school’s open hours; consistency is appreciated by students and staff. Pay is commensurate with experience and ranges from $20 to $30 per hour. A 401(k) program with employer matching is available to employees after 30 days on the job, and health benefit packages are available to part-time and full-time employees.

Requirements

• Strong music background demonstrated by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience.
• Demonstrated love of teaching.
• Experience working with young musicians.
• Punctuality.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a routine background check.
• Availability to work on Mondays.
