About The Position

The JC Beach Cellar Coordinator is responsible for the seamless and effective fulfillment operations for the JC Beach cellar, bars, and beverage outlets. This role works closely with other segments of Food & Beverage to ensure the beverage team is ready to provide members and guests with optimal service per Jonathan Club standards. The position involves maintaining cleanliness and organization of cellar and beverage preparation areas, monitoring and placing maintenance orders, managing transfers, inventories, and beverage preparation and fulfillment for various events and dining programs.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in beverage service related field
  • Competency in resource management and inventory control
  • Customer service oriented, positive and energetic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • RBS Certified with CA ABC
  • Basic competency with e-mail, Word and Excel
  • Able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and walk/stand for extended periods
  • Minimum age requirement 21

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and adheres to JC Beverage Dept. policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensures optimal cleanliness and organization for cellar and all beverage prep. and storage areas.
  • Maintains all beverage materials and equipment.
  • Expedites repair and replacement requests.
  • Monitors and executes all beverage maintenance orders and product movement requests.
  • Monitors and supports efficient bar set-up & break down procedures.
  • Executes all property-direct product orders, receives deliveries, codes and submits invoices.
  • Coordinates with the TC Main Cellar to execute spirits, wine, and product transfers and tracking.
  • Conducts beverage inventory in accordance with departmental schedule and procedures.
  • Assists in orienting new bartenders and barbacks to JC Beverage and cellar operating standards.
  • Checks in with management regularly during shift for primary tasks & to be re-directed as priorities adjust throughout the day.
  • Maintains and rotates inventory pars of wines, beers, liquors, sodas & other beverages in the cellar, bars and storage cages as business demands.
  • Oversees all bar daily operations to ensure smooth function by checking on running stocks and providing needed additional support for bar staff.
  • Tracks evolving Banquet Event Orders, attends BEO Meetings, notifies outstanding beverage assignments to Dir. of Beverage, tracks and prepares all Catering and Special Events product sets.
  • Monitors and reports vintage changes and spirit, beer, sake and wine outages to Dir. of Beverage.
  • Performs large format cocktail batching for select events and draft programs, prepares syrups, components, and special garnishes for cocktail programs.
