About The Position
Gotion Inc. is hiring a Cell Procurement Engineer to support global sourcing and procurement of lithium-ion battery cell materials. The role covers sourcing, supplier qualification and management, purchase order execution, cost and market analysis, supply chain risk mitigation, and North American policy and compliance analysis. The position also supports material validation and localization projects and helps develop compliant supply chain strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct global sourcing, RFQs, cost analysis, commercial negotiations, and supplier qualification for lithium-ion battery cell materials to support competitive costs and stable supply.
- Follow up on purchase order execution, delivery schedules, payments, and exceptions.
- Support material validation and localization projects.
- Develop and qualify suppliers, including market research and background assessments of potential suppliers.
- Organize supplier audits, factory assessments, and monthly and annual performance evaluations.
- Participate in supplier contract negotiations, execution, and management, ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and regulations.
- Monitor global lithium-ion battery raw material markets.
- Analyze logistics costs, tariffs, and total battery cell costs.
- Identify supply chain risks and propose mitigation plans to ensure supply continuity.
- Analyze North American policies and regulations related to the lithium-ion battery industry and develop compliant supply chain strategies.
