About The Position

The Cell Operator is responsible for understanding and following all work instructions and control plans, completing GMAPS responsibilities (consumption, production, and balancing), and performing all quality and process relevant parameter checks. This role involves maintaining 5S, ensuring the cell is stocked, entering detailed information into hourly tracking, and assisting with staging and setting up clave racks. The operator must also properly close all racks, check outbound racks for quality issues, and perform elementary troubleshooting before escalating to maintenance or process tech. Effective communication with supervisors, engineers, and process techs is essential.

  • Understands all safety, quality, throughput and yield goals

  • Understands purpose of all lockouts and e-stops
  • Understands all customer related specifications and can make independent quality decisions
  • Can retrieve all key types of documents from the Department Index
  • Can read logos and assess correct content and clarity
  • Can perform all inspections, including 1st piece inspection
  • Can perform all individual jobs on final line (trim, inspection, and unload)
  • Can effectively coordinate, direct, and execute line change overs
  • Can manually move, jog, and home all robots
  • Ensures all racks are properly checked, packed, and secured prior to leaving the final line area.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and follows all work instructions and control plans
  • Complete all GMAPS responsibilities, including consumption, production, and balancing
  • Performs all quality checks per required frequencies
  • Performs all process relevant parameter checks; escalates out of parameter conditions to supervisor and process tech / engineer
  • Maintains 5S as well as offers suggestions to improve cell organization and layout
  • Keeps cell stocked with all necessary items and tools
  • Enters detailed information into hourly tracking in a timely fashion
  • Can assist in staging and setting up clave racks
  • Closes all racks properly according to standard work instructions
  • Checks all outbound racks for quality issues, including trim quality, short vinyl, mismatch, and edge quality
  • Can complete elementary troubleshooting prior to calling maintenance or process tech
  • Can communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and process tech
