A COS (Customer Operations & Supply) Team Leader oversees daily operational activities to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality order fulfillment and supply chain execution. The role focuses on leading and developing team members, driving operational excellence, resolving issues impacting customers or supply continuity, and collaborating cross‑functionally with planning, logistics, quality, and commercial teams. The COS Team Leader is accountable for meeting service, safety, quality, and productivity expectations while supporting continuous improvement and Medtronic’s mission.

Requirements

  • Requires advanced knowledge within a specific discipline typically gained through broad work experience and/or education.
  • Requires minimum of 8 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
  • May require vocational training and/or certification.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, FW) and order management tools
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong data analysis skills, including Excel, dashboards, or reporting tools
  • Experience partnering cross‑functionally with Planning, Logistics, Quality, and Commercial teams
  • Familiarity with regulated environments (medical device, pharma, or similar industries)
  • Change management experience and ability to lead teams through process improvements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without authority

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.
  • Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions.
  • Sets initial layouts, and uses a variety of tools to prepare product(s).
  • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
  • May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
