Production Worker - Temporary Assignment
About The Position
WireCo® is a global company that creates premium ropes, with manufacturing plants, distribution facilities, and research and development centers worldwide. The Production Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized production area, preparing workspaces for operation, assembling products and parts, and efficiently working on the production line to meet production goals. This role requires skill in following detailed shop instructions, using hand tools, and reading tape measures with precision. A strong commitment to following safety protocols and health guidelines is essential. The Production Worker must also embody the WireCo Business System (WBS) behaviors: Teamwork, Accountable, Self-Aware, Noble Intent, Determined, Transparent, and Curious. This is a temporary assignment, up to 8 weeks based on business needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Forklift certification and a minimum of 2 years of forklift operating experience
- Possess strong mathematical abilities
- Demonstrate strong communication abilities
- Work well in a team environment
- Pushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Fluent in English
Responsibilities
- Follow health and safety standards
- Maintain a clean workstation and production floor
- Assemble products and parts
- Follow production guidelines and specifications
- Finalize and package products for shipment
- Work on the production line and meet production targets
- Report any issues to supervisor on duty
- Perform other tasks as assigned
