About The Position

Raytheon brings over 100 years of engineering expertise to meet today's mission needs and stay ahead of tomorrow's threats. The McKinney, TX Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC) assembles and tests advanced Electro-Optical Infrared products. The selected candidate will supervise 10-20 assembly operators and test technicians, guiding them to assemble and test products to deliver high-quality equipment to warfighters. Cell Leaders develop and maintain team performance metrics, ensuring production lines meet schedule and cost targets. They will implement continuous improvement methods using lean manufacturing principles and motivate team involvement in these improvements. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), on-site position in McKinney, TX, working 2nd shift. The role requires willingness to work off-shift and overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
  • Experience managing a production team and/or group subordinate employees.
  • Experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with processes such as R6s, iMRO, SAP, and CMES or an equivalent shop floor management & MRP system.
  • Experience with cost management and/or rework reduction efforts.
  • Experience in Visual Controls, Line Balancing, LEAN Factory Management principles and optimizing the use of critical resources.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Engineering, process development and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safety, quality, cost, and schedule execution on the factory floor.
  • Supervise day-to-day factory operations, resource loading, process control, and business performance metrics.
  • Interface and collaborate with Production Associates, Production Control, Program Operations, Quality, Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, as well as Factory Management.
  • Responsible for workforce planning and forecasting, employee training, time and attendance tracking, area layout and flow management, and ensuring compliance of company policies and procedures.
  • Requires engagement with other functional areas where direct and indirect influence experience is needed so that we have continuous improvement in cost, quality, and schedule performance.
