About The Position

This position is responsible for generating small to large scale cell banks (cell types: adherent, suspension, shaker suspension). The role involves preparing media and solutions, maintaining accurate records, collaborating with cross-functional teams, attending team meetings, and ensuring adherence to company policies. The scientist will also be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of cell culture supplies and equipment, and performing general duties as assigned by their manager.

Requirements

• Ability to independently manage tasks and assignments as directed by immediate manager
• Attention to detail, and effective oral and written communication skills
• Troubleshooting ability with cell lines
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant life sciences program
• Must be well-organized and able to adapt and be flexible to a fast-paced laboratory environment

Nice To Haves

• Strong preference for candidates with demonstrated ability to work using aseptic cell culture techniques

Responsibilities

• Generating small to large scale cell banks (cell types: adherent, suspension, shaker suspension)
• Prepare media and solutions in accordance with client/vendor specifications
• Maintain accurate records utilizing internal database to document real time data
• Cross functional team collaboration to contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Attend regular team meetings/huddle to review workload, processes and/or outstanding laboratory issues
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to intellectual property and data integrity
• General upkeep and maintenance of cell culture supplies and equipment
• General duties assigned by manager
