About The Position

Eurofins Viral Safety is seeking an entry level Cell Culture Associate Scientist to join their team in Lancaster, PA. This role involves performing aseptic tissue culture techniques, common laboratory skills, and tissue culture-based analytical testing. The associate will also be responsible for reviewing raw data, setting up and validating new processes, and documenting work for GMP compliance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular or cell biology, or-related field or other related degree concentration
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Responsibilities

Perform aseptic tissue culture techniques such as expansion and seeding of adherent and suspension tissue culture lines, including numerous mammalian and insect culture cell lines.
Perform common lab skills include microscopy, aseptic media preparation, mechanical pipetting, serial dilution preparations, and basic calculations including the use of Excel spreadsheets.
Perform tissue culture based analytical testing including growth promotion testing of media components.
Review and evaluate raw data for acceptability.
Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department.
Document work as required for GMP compliance.
