About The Position

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services across multiple industries. The Cell and Gene Therapy Scientist performs mammalian cell culture and cell-based and plate-based assays, including ELISA and Alphalisa. The role also uses PCR-based methods, DNA isolation, and sequencing, and requires maintaining electronic lab notebooks and GMP-compliant records. The scientist contributes to new method development and optimization of existing methods in a dynamic setting where protocols may change quickly.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Candidates currently living within commuting distance of Malvern, Pennsylvania, are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States without restrictions or sponsorship.

Requirements

• Completed bachelor's or master's degree in a scientific concentration.
• At least 3 years of industry experience.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture.
• Experience with PCR, qPCR, dPCR, and ddPCR.
• Experience with DNA isolation.
• Experience with plate-based assays, ELISA, and MSD.
• Experience with Western blot, SDS silver staining, SDS-PAGE, and gel electrophoresis.
• Ability to maintain electronic lab notebooks and GMP-compliant records.
• Ability to work in dynamic method-development settings and accommodate quick changes in protocols.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restrictions or sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• PhD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammalian cell culture passaging or splitting, continuous maintenance, and cell counting.
• Use micropipettes for precise readings in cell-based and plate-based assays, including ELISA and Alphalisa.
• Perform qPCR, dPCR, DNA isolations, and sequencing.
• Maintain electronic lab notebooks and GMP-compliant records.
• Develop new methods and optimize existing methods.
• Adapt to dynamic method-development settings and accommodate quick protocol changes.
