About The Position

Amentum is seeking a (CE) /(CV) Case Control Specialist Level 3 to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Springfield, VA. This role involves managing, triaging, and assigning cases from various sources including PeopleSoft Electronic Reporting (eReport), polygraph referrals, emails, internal/external referrals, DNI CE alerts, EAFR, RapBack, and walk-in notifications. The specialist will validate, research, review, create reportables, and forward all reportable information from employees and contractors to the appropriate personnel security specialist or investigator within government-established timelines (SISP). Additionally, the role requires tracking and reporting electronic alerts (eAlerts) in metric format, providing support to the CE/CV PERSEC Program, and delivering excellent customer service by addressing inquiries in a timely manner. The position utilizes security concepts to analyze and recommend solutions for complex security issues, requires documenting and submitting Weekly Activity Reports (WARs) in the SISP designated template, and assisting the government SISPV team with developing recommendations for improvement. The specialist will also prepare and present reports, correspondence, and whitepapers as needed, ensuring positive and clear communication with customers. All actions must be documented and maintained in the personnel security systems of record (PeopleSoft or its successor), with incoming documentation directed to the appropriate person or database within three business days of receipt. The role also involves delivering priority messages based on urgency and capturing details of all actions within the appropriate PeopleSoft security modules.

Requirements

TS/SCI clearance and must be willing to undergo a polygraph exam
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Minimum 7-10 years of personnel security background investigation experience.
Clear and concise writing skills.
Positive, engaging communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills to achieve required timelines

Responsibilities

Manage, triage, and assign cases from PeopleSoft Electronic Reporting (eReport), polygraph referrals, emails, internal/external referrals, DNI CE alerts, EAFR, RapBack, and walk-in notification
Validate, research, review, create reportables, create cases, and forward to personnel security specialist-Investigators, all reportable information from employees and contractors meeting timelines established by the government (SISP)
Track and Report Electronic Alerts (eAlerts) in metric format per established format
Provide support to established CE/CV PERSEC Program
Provide service excellence in guidance and resolution to internal and external customers’ questions and inquiries in a timely manner for support to their programs
Utilizes a variety of security concepts, principles and practices to analyze and recommend solutions for difficult and complex security issues
Document and provide Weekly Activity Report (WAR) actions in the SISP designated template and timeline to the Government Team Lead
Assist the government SISPV team to help in developing recommendations for improvement
Prepare, write, and present reports/whitepapers, various forms of correspondence, as required
Provide positive, well-communicated responses and closure of all customer inquiries
Document, file, and maintain all actions in the personnel security systems of record (PeopleSoft or its successor)
Direct all incoming documentation to the appropriate person or database within three business days of receipt
Deliver priority messages based on urgency
