About The Position

This role serves as the first point of contact for clients, handling intake, payroll, and problem-solving. The specialist will promote and explain CDS programs, ensure timely and accurate service delivery, and stay current on legislative and regulatory changes. Responsibilities include inputting budgets, processing payroll and reimbursements, tracking spending, and assisting with onboarding new employees. Collaboration with counties, DHS, and other providers is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree + 3 years of related human services experience, OR High school diploma + 6 years of related human services experience
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent customer service and independent decision-making abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to travel throughout Minnesota
Must pass a MN Department of Human Services background check

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for clients, handling intake, payroll, and problem-solving.
Promote and explain CDS programs to clients, families, and county personnel.
Ensure timely and accurate service delivery while maintaining a customer-focused culture.
Stay current on legislative and regulatory changes affecting CDS programs.
Input budgets, process payroll and reimbursements, and track spending.
Assist with onboarding new employees and processing employment documentation.
Collaborate with counties, DHS, and other providers to develop best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
