About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting and managing a highly virtualized IT platform, which includes Linux and Windows operating systems. The candidate will lead a team of system administrators, ensuring technical proficiency and smooth operations across Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments. Additionally, the role involves delivering IT services across various security domains, providing customer support for service requests, and resolving technical issues. The candidate will also play a key role in transitioning, deploying, and releasing newly developed Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) services.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance with CI Poly.
  • Experience with Hypervisor technologies

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft Windows Server operating systems across enterprise environments.
  • Perform Linux system administration, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Support and manage VMware virtual environments to ensure performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Create, manage, and maintain Active Directory objects, including users, groups, and policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple geographic locations to deliver reliable infrastructure services.
  • Partner with Infrastructure Services teams to optimize system performance and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process and system enhancements.
  • Maintain and renew relevant professional certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP) as required.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices through ongoing learning.
  • Assist in developing and delivering technical training to support team growth and knowledge sharing.
