About The Position

TNStumpff Enterprises, LLC is hiring a USPS CDS rural mail carrier to deliver mail on a route in the Boerne, Texas area. The carrier sorts mail into delivery sequence for 624 active boxes, loads mail and parcels into a vehicle, and delivers along an assigned 41.9-mile route. The role may also require dismounting to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail, as well as performing administrative duties. Applicants must provide their own vehicle and are responsible for its maintenance, fuel, and insurance. Vehicle reimbursement is paid in addition to the hourly wage.

The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, with Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday off. The stated hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.; route times and end times may vary based on completion of deliveries. Employment begins ASAP. Pay is $25.92 per hour plus vehicle reimbursement. Straight time, Health & Welfare, holiday, and vehicle reimbursement are paid out; benefits are paid as cash equivalency up to the maximum of 40 hours per week under the applicable Department of Labor wage determination.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid Texas driver's license.
• Be able to lift 70 pounds.
• Be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Reside in the Boerne, Texas area.
• Provide a vehicle that meets postal regulations and postal driving requirements.
• Provide one dependable minivan, large SUV, truck with a locking camper shell, or equivalent with 120 cubic feet of usable load space for mail and parcels.
• Carry liability insurance of $100,000/$500,000/$100,000 or $600,000 combined single limit for the contract vehicle.
• Be responsible for vehicle maintenance, fuel, and insurance costs.
• Include HCR#781D1 – Boerne, TX with the resume or provide a three-year work history.

Responsibilities

• Sort mail in delivery sequence for 624 active boxes.
• Load mail and parcels in delivery sequence into the delivery vehicle.
• Deliver mail along an assigned 41.9-mile line of travel.
• Dismount when required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
• Perform other required administrative duties.
