About The Position

The Water Truck Driver is responsible for operating a commercial water truck to control dust, provide moisture for compaction, and support site operations on large-scale earthwork and infrastructure projects. This role requires a valid CDL and experience working as a water truck driver in construction environments. This is a safety sensitive role that requires one to safely navigate rough terrain, active construction zones, and public roads while adhering to all DOT and site-specific regulations. The role will work with site supervisors, grade-checkers, and equipment operators to determine where and when water is needed.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in the construction industry, preferably as a water truck operator
  • A current CDL with tanker endorsement
  • Experience working on construction sites
  • Ability to navigate uneven and rough terrain safely
  • Ability to pass an MVR check and a drug test
  • Willingness to travel as needed for projects across the Southwest U.S.
  • Comfortable and capable to work safely in hot, humid, cold and wet conditions, outside

Responsibilities

  • Operating the hose, monitoring and spraying nozzles
  • Safely walking on unfinished terrain, including 2:1 slopes, rough and rocky patches
