CDL Truck Driver
About The Position
John F. Martin & Sons LLC, is seeking an experienced CDL Truck Driver to join our team and its expanding business operations in the Womelsdorf and Stevens areas. We are a fourth-generation family-owned business that's committed to manufacturing and distributing quality meat and cheese products, with JFM Logistics transporting product to our diverse clientele throughout the East Coast and Mid-West region. The purpose of this role is to operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck for delivery and/or pick-up of refrigerated and non-refrigerated products following specified time schedules to and from company or customer locations to achieve profitable business growth.
Requirements
- Experienced CDL Truck Driver
- Valid CDL license
- Ability to operate electric jacks and forklifts
- Knowledge of DOT regulations for axle weights and load distribution
- Ability to complete accurate paperwork, including logbooks and cargo records

- Experience with refrigerated and non-refrigerated products
Responsibilities
- Operates all assigned vehicles, electric jacks, and forklifts in accordance with established safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.
- Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections, such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes.
- Follows the preventative maintenance program and maintains a clean truck to present a professional appearance.
- Loads and unloads containers, pallets, or materials and products safely on trucks and trailers by hand, manual skid jack, electric jack, and/or forklift truck.
- Ensures loads are evenly balanced and distributed from the front of the trailer to the back and from side to side, and checks axle weights and loads them in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Ensures that all deliveries and pickups are made in accordance with time schedules and performs duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism.
- Ensures that all associated documentation, such as bills of lading, delivery slips, and invoices are completed accurately and returned to the home base at the end of the day.
- Completes necessary paperwork, including accurate logbooks and records of cargo, on a daily basis.
