About The Position

Press Glass is a leading manufacturer of architectural glass products used in major commercial construction projects and landmark buildings. Our work plays an important role in creating modern, high-quality buildings across the country. Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land. Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules. It will be a mix of overnight and local trips. Pay consist of hourly and/or per mile plus per diem.

Requirements

CLASS A CDL License.
Clean driving record with at least 2 years of experience.
Must have good communication skills and people skills.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

May drive tractor-trailer or straight truck making deliveries to local or long-distance customers.
Inspects vehicles pre and post trips as required by DOT and communicates if repairs are required.
Maintains ELD (electronic logs) using device provided.
Secures material before moving loads.
Assists in unloading of material (may consist of manual assistance or boom).
Checks count of material for accuracy.
Checks material for damages.
Plans routes and delivery schedules with Shipping Supervisor.
Obtains authorizations for pickups not pre-approved.
Maintains license as required by DOT with up to date physical.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
